Letter about CHKD

What up camp??? This is Tra and I’m sharing something with the entire camp that I believe came from God. It relates to the whole CHKD thing.

First of all, let me start by saying that for those who knew that we had to take Alana to CHKD emergency room to see a neurologist, as scary and as awful as it sounds, Alana is fine and well. They basically said that the tremors that she is having during her sleep are “normal.” At least, nothing to be alarmed about. So praise God for that.

But as the doctor was giving us the good report about Alana’s condition, the Lord began speaking to me about other children and families who are not getting a good report. This is what God put on my heart to share with the camp.

“What greater way is there to show appreciation to God that our kids are doing well than to pray for others? Some parents don’t have the faith that we have, and as much as they want their children to get better, THEY CANNOT GIVE THEM WHAT THEY DON’T HAVE THEMSELVES and for that reason haven’t given those children (who technically belong to God in the first place) a reason to have hope. When you are able to go pray for someone in need, and you freely choose not to, you are “technically” picking and choosing who deserves to be blessed and who does not deserve to be blessed (and in this case, you are choosing which children deserve to be healed, and which parents deserve to be given hope).”

That last part sounds harsh. It almost sounds like I’m tapping in on the guilt technique. First of all, it’s not me speaking, that is what God put on my heart. Secondly, God clearly stated that we cannot give what we don’t have, and He has clearly given us at least one of the next two things: healthy children (there are different degrees of healthy) and (more importantly) hope and a reason to believe that they can be completely healed. Basically, God said to me “who are we to pick and choose who deserves healing?” He gave us faith and hope, and He didn’t give it to us so we can “bury the talents” like the parable teaches because our “master is harsh” and we didn’t want him to be mad if we didn’t make a profit.

Don’t forget that the word appreciate also means “to increase in value.” A house appreciates on the market, and in doing so it’s worth more. Do you really appreciate the gift of faith and hope and healthy children that God has given you? If so, what are you doing to increase it’s value? You are either truly increasing it’s value by using that gift to bless others (in other words “investing healing” into others lives so that investment can “increase in value”) or you have buried that gift in your spirit so at least when Jesus returns we can give Him back the same thing He gave us, and in that way the gift didn’t loose any value. (But of course, it’s still there for you to use it for your own needs when you need it.....ouch....)

In summation, what good is the gift of a shirt if your not wearing it? a car if your not driving it? If I gave you gas money so you could go to church and you still didn’t go to church, I don’t care how many times you said thank you with your mouth, say thank you by your actions. Otherwise, your actions will speak so loudly that I won’t be able to receive the “thank you” that is coming from your mouth.

So now that the foundation is laid, I believe God gave me a vision for a music project. Don’t be so surprised, because music is one of the things we do well. (hehehehehehe) God said we have too many testimonies and words of encouragement for these kids, and we need to give it to them in the form that we know how to give it to them best. We need to release a cd similar to tracks and backpacks. I’m still waiting for God to give me the title of the project, but the concept is simple. During the writing and recording process, keep in mind that this isn’t for the streets and this isn’t for the “hip hop heads” or the church. This is for those who are sick, and who God wants to speak an encouraging word through. And God chose us to be His mouthpiece.

What I would like you to do is to seek God about this, and after prayer, immediately hit me back with an email about what your involvement will be (if any). If God really doesn’t press on your heart that this was for you, than I’m cool with it. I only want those who feel compelled by GOD and are serious about this to respond so we can get cracking. By the way, I think I have the title of the project now. “I See You.” (obviously a play on the acronym, I.C.U. meaning “intensive care unit). That just dropped in my spirit and I think that’s the title. “I See You.” Praise God! So hit me back and let me know if your down. If it ends up being the entire camp, I think maybe two songs from each group or artist would be great. Focus on encouragement and healing and faith. If all groups don’t feel like God is bringing them on board, than we will have to go to another plan and put collabs together. Another part of this plan is to infiltrate the hospital and pray for the kids, families, nurses, and doctors who work there. So it’s not just about spitting a hot 16, it’s about being able to look a bald headed child in the eyes as they are sick from chemo and tell them “I truly believe that God can bring you through!”

I know this was long, but thank you for reading this, and now is the time to respond. At your earliest convenience (if you feel it necessary) pray about what your involvement might be, and immediately after that either text me or email me, telling me not only your involvement, but what God spoke to you about the situation as well. I feel in my spirit that this is going to end up being HUGE! We don’t do it for attention, but I feel like the media is gonna get a hold of this, and being obedient to God in this area is going to “force” His favor to drop on us in other areas.
Thanks family, love you guys, and get at me.
