Great News
Hey everybody, we have some great news. Josh Baez has decided to step up and help everybody out with their car situations. He has shared his heart, and has made it clear that as a 12 strings family we need to start acting like family. So he has announced that if anybody has any car issues, to contact him, and he will do everything that he can to get you the help you need at the lowest price possible. So if anybody has any car issues, please contact Josh at (757) 575-5560. Also, if their is anybody else that has any special giftings that they would like to contribute to the 12 strings family, please contact me so that I can post a blog so that people are aware of who to contact when they have a need. Pertinent Retreat Information--CALL WITH QUESTIONS
Retreat is this weekend yall!!! Be sure to take down the following information:
Directions:
Directions to Retreat House from I-264E –
- Take exit 21A (the 1ST First Colonial Road exit) – Turn Right.
- First Colonial Road becomes Oceana Blvd. Follow down to the end of Oceana Blvd.
- Make RIGHT onto GENERAL BOOTH BLVD. Merge Left.
- Turn LEFT onto PRINCESS ANNE ROAD.
- Continue straight onto SANDBRIDGE ROAD. Follow.
- Turn RIGHT onto SANDFIDDLER ROAD.
- End at 2613 SANDFIDDLER ROAD.
Reverse Directions to I-264W from Retreat House:
- Make LEFT onto SANDFIDDLER ROAD.
- Make LEFT onto SANDBRIDGE ROAD. Follow.
- Continue straight onto PRINCESS ANNE ROAD.
- Make RIGHT onto GENERAL BOOTH BLVD. Follow.
- Make LEFT onto OCEANA BLVD. Follow.
- Take exit on the LEFT towards I-264 West.
Dinner:
ALL MEALS ARE PROVIDED
Friday: Dinner will be served at 7:00PM sharp.
Saturday: Breakfast @ 10AM – Lunch @1PM – Grill Out Dinner @ 5:30PM
Sunday: CATERED Sunday Dinner
Schedule:
Retreat Instruction begins Friday night at 8:00PM. We are on a tight schedule so let's try to be punctual with our timing and respect those who are also exercising punctuality and respect for time. Saturday evening is our free chill time—we can hang at the house, all go out somewhere, whatever….you are free to do whatever.
Retreat lasts all thru Sunday night – EVERYONE is required to attend Freedom Fellowship Sunday morning service @ 9AM OR 11AM. Dinner is catered on Sunday so ALL are requested to return to the Retreat Offsite following church services.
Accommodations:
All who are either sharing a room or utilizing the living areas of the home for the weekend should know who you are. If you are unsure, CONTACT KELLY LEWIS IMMEDIATELY at 667-8641. If you are utilizing the living area, be sure to bring an air mattress or sufficient bedding. Almost be mindful that the weekend is for fellowship and fun so you may want to pick a quieter area of the home to stay.
Reminder that we need to bring our own linens .This includes the following: Bath towels, washcloths, pillowcases, & at least queen size bed sheets.

Hey Everybody!
So basically, this blog is going to recap all of the latest 12 strings information. If you are looking for anything in particular, just scroll down until you see the bold subheading of what you are looking for (12 strings retreat, One Gathering, Relate Groups, etc...) If you aren't looking for anything in particular, and just want the update, then read it all.
12 Strings Retreat
1. We are entirely packed on the retreat, and the rooming is 1st pay 1st serve, so basically if you haven't paid by now, then be prepared to sleep on the couch, or floor. Please bring blankets and pillows, and anything else necessary for this situation. For further information on that, please contact Kelly. (e-mail is Receptionist@comegetfree.org) Let's not disturb Moses with any small questions on that please.
2. We are no longer doing the dinner thing that was stated prior to this blog. The new eating arrangement is this.
Friday - Spaghetti Dinner
Saturday - Family Cookout
3. Sunday, we will all go to Freedom Fellowship together. *THIS IS PART OF THE RETREAT* There will be some event taking place at Freedom, in which all of 12 strings must attend, so please be prepared to go.
4. If you have no yet paid, please pay Kelly ASAP! The cost is $20, but at this point, you will only be guaranteed a spot on the floor. Sorry but all the rooms are already taken.
5. Don't forget to bring pillows, blankets, toiletrees, toothbrushes, and all your other essentials.
6. For any other information, please contact Kelly, or comment on this blog.
ONE Gathering
1. We will be having the MANDATORY MOCK ONE Gathering next Thursday at 7 @ Freedom Fellowship. At this meeting, we will be going over EVERYTHING that will take place at the real ONE Gathering on Nov. 9. Please do not invite anybody else to this mock gathering, so we can get real with one another, and we can get everything done.
2. The Real ONE Gathering will take place Nov. 9. Invite anybody that you can think of, so we can kick it off BIG! Also, if you are interested in helping in any way, please contact Kelly ASAP.
Relate Groups
1. The relate groups are almost entirely set up. Big ups to Tra and Joanne for stepping up and leading the Relate Groups. They will begin sometime in January. We will keep you updated as time comes.

Hey everybody, hope all is going well. This is just a reminder that the retreat is coming up very soon. It is on the 26-28 of October. If you have not yet paid for the trip, then please contact Kelly ASAP due to limited space. It has been announced that if we run out of beds, you can still sleep on the couch or an air matresses for a reduced price of $20 per person. Also, some words of advice. You WILL HAVE to bring your own pillows or pillow cases, blankets, bed covers, towels, wash clothes, toiletries, toothbrushes, and things of that sort. And most of all, BE READY FOR AN AWESOME TIME!!!
P.s. On Saturday night October 27, we are hoping to have a big pot luck dinner!! If you are interested in preparing a small dish, please contact Kelly and tell her what you will be making, and what ingrediants you need for this, so she can grocery shop for them. Also, if any ladies are interested in assisting Kelly in shopping for food and whatnot, please contact her soon.
On a final note, we will be having a MANDATORY MANDATORY MANDATORY 12 strings gathering on Oct. 11 at 7:30 at Freedom Fellowship. This meeting will basically be a practice ONE Gathering. This is not for new people. Only the camp members. Basically, we will be going over how ONE gathering is going to run, and what we should be expecting. We will also have some fun, but our focus is going to be preparation, so we don't show up at our 1st ONE gathering entirely unprepared.
That is basically all the information we have out right now. On a side note, we are working on building up administrative teams, business teams, and marketing teams within the camp. If you are interested in helping in any way, please respond to this blog, or contact Kelly.

YAY! Its a new 12 Strings BLOG!
WHOO HOO! It's a new Blog.
So recently, 12 Strings has been turning dreams into reality. In the last camp night, Moses elaborated on the success of Club escape, Tracks and Backpacks, Underground compilation and One Magazine. But it was also pointed out that Club escape has been having some difficulty in operated the way that it was designed to because there hasn't been enough staff to help out in many areas that are necessary. (So if you have a free Friday night, and you would like to contribute to an AMAZING ministry night, please contact Brandon Hyatt, or just show up and ask if you can be of assistance...it's that simple. haha)
On an entirely different note, Levite Camp night is undergoing a drastic change. For one, Levite night will now be open to ANYBODY! 12 Strings or not. However, by coming to this Levite night, a person doesn't automatically become a member of 12 Strings. They are just invited to show up, have some fun, some laughs, maybe even some worship and word. Whatever works. We just guarantee an AWESOME 12 Strings night of comfort and craziness. Due to this change though, we NEED TO BE COMMITED TO THIS ONE NIGHT! ....and we shall call it.... "ONE Gathering". The good news is....we will be advertising this night via ONE Magazine. The bad news...there really isn't any.
Finally, in order to grow, we will begin 12 Strings relate groups. Basically, these "relate groups" will be small cell groups that some members of 12 strings will begin hosting. They will receive the word from Moses, and will share it with everybody in their group whenever that relate group meets. The exact dates and times will be determined shortly, but for now just know that they will begin within the next month. So be ready for some awesome fellowship nights. :-)
So to conclude everything, we need to work together to get Club Escape working at full potential, we need to be commited to the ONE Gathering meeting each month, and we need to find a cell group that we can plug into, and be faithful to showing up to that meeting.
And if you are wondering how 12 Strings will get a group bonding time since we no longer will have a 12 Strings night anymore, then YOU ARE IN LUCK! 12 Strings retreats will now be once every 3 months. Our 1st one will be Oct. 26-28. The cost is $35 per person, due by FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 21!!! And SPACE IS LIMITED!!! so make sure that you bring your money soon if you want to have an AWESOME retreat with 12 Strings!
And one last thing. 12 Strings is trying to really get moving by getting $2,300 a month flowing in from within the camp. This will cover tracks and backpacks productions, and things of that nature, and will help 12 Strings move to the next level. So we are asking that everybody commit to $30 a month. This is not counted as tythe money, but as a simple offering. With this money, 12 Strings can move faster and stronger, and you will deffinately see fruit being produced.
SO BE READY FOR SOME BIG THINGS FROM 12 STRINGS! ITS EXCITING, BUT LET'S NOT LOSE OUR FOCUS! LET's BE READY TO PRESS INTO 2008 UNITED AND STRONG!
